Caring for your embroidery
Washing, drying and ironing an embroidered item so it keeps its shape
Your item has embroidery stitched into it, so a little care keeps both the fabric and the stitching looking right.
Washing
Wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle, with similar colours, using a mild detergent. That protects the fabric and the embroidery together.
Drying
Air dry only. Lay it flat or hang it up.
Please avoid tumble drying. The heat and the tumbling can damage both the fabric and the stitching.
Ironing
Turn the item inside out, lay a clean cloth over the embroidery, and use a low to medium heat.
Never put an iron directly onto the stitching.
If something has gone wrong
If the embroidery has pulled, frayed or come away, email us at hello@lucyandlolashop.com with your order number and a photo. We would rather see it than have you assume nothing can be done.
